I first visited Myrtle Beach as a child. He also played golf for the first time. I vacationed there a few more times growing up.

I first returned as an adult in my last year of university when myself and twenty friends of mine stayed there for a week between the end of final exams and our graduation ceremony. I had a good time? Are you kidding? Let’s just say it’s a visit I probably won’t share. 🙂

I guess you could say I’m a fan. And I’ve seen what they have to offer toddlers, teens, and adults: more golf than you can handle, beautiful beaches, fantastic adult nightlife, and so many kid-friendly things you’ll never hear, “I’m bored!”. And that’s without sitting them in front of a television or giving them a video game to play.

Competing with Orlando as the most popular resort in the southeastern United States, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina is not only the golf capital of the United States; it’s also an attractive location for developers eager to capitalize on this rapidly expanding area.

It’s not just the tourist attractions that are booming here, real estate prices are rising at a faster rate than any other area in the United States. With good real estate, new businesses springing up, hotels and other developments underway, it’s no wonder Myrtle Beach is currently one of the places to be.

Golf, the sport of the corporate man, is one of the main reasons Myrtle Beach became popular. With more than 100 golf courses, many of them championship-level, located within easy reach of each other, it’s the perfect location for your annual convention, national board meeting or other corporate function.

It has the ideal after business playground for corporate America!

However, Myrtle Beach has more to offer than just golf. It is a place with beautiful beaches, some of them relatively pristine habitats of nature, as in Huntington State Park, and on the other hand, beaches that offer great fun for children of all ages. With its golden sands, blue ocean and mild climate, Myrtle Beach South Carolina has all the ingredients for a great vacation.

The accommodation, although expanding rapidly, varies from a basic camping structure to the most luxurious suite in one of the most exclusive tourist hotels on the market.

Book yourself into a hotel, or condo, or if you have an RV, why not cut your travel expenses and drive there? Be sure to book well in advance though, especially in the summer as the good places fill up fast!

Myrtle Beach in the summer is one of the most popular areas for vacationers, so expect to see a lot of people. Spring break is another popular time of year for the area.

However, if you can take your vacation off-peak, your accommodation costs should be lower (you could even try asking for a lower rate than what they quote!), and you’ll be able to find a larger space for your towel in the beach and more slots available on the golf course!

Myrtle Beach South Carolina has it all for a vacationer, regardless of age. There’s plenty to do and see during the day, plenty of shows and entertainment at night, and all within the beauty, mild climate, and slower, more charming pace of life you’d expect to find in the southern United States. .
