Dating is so much fun and important in a relationship. Your first moments together create your memories for the rest of your life together, so you want them to be creative, moving, and fun. So my ex knowing this about me, he only gave me flowers once in 8 years. That was pretty sad for me. He just needed me to pick a few from our backyard, but he never thought of that. I was the girl without flowers. I could have clipped them out of magazines, picked them out, bought seed packets, I would have loved to.

1. Picnic. Sure, it sounds simple and common, but how many times have you gone on a picnic this year? I bet not many and most of us haven’t done it in years. You can make it more unique and have a midnight picnic on the lawn or in a park. Put some candles on the table, on the terrace or around a blanket, or even on the living room floor in the dead of winter.
You can make the food from home or go to a secondary store and buy some sandwiches. Have dessert or make some chocolate covered strawberries or raspberries and cream. Something hot. Enjoy the food, the conversation, and some kisses on that blanket afterward. Make a custom CD and put on some music and dance. Bring a book of poetry and read something out loud. 2. Game night. Have some good old fashioned fun and head out on trivia quest or scrabble. I once had an amazing date in the park playing scrabble. We bought lunch and sat at a picnic table in the warm sun playing scrabble all afternoon. It is one of my most reflected dates. I can’t even remember the guy, but I remember the date.
Have some snacks and drinks ready and play drinking games, bet on who wins. The winner receives a back massage. The last guy I dated would have the Wii world championship games. The winner of the total events could tell the other what to do. We would play for hours, laughing and being active, and it would end with some really fun games.
Get creative, design an invitation on the computer, pick some flowers for it, and make a punch or cocktail out of whatever you have around the house. Make it an event, not a night where you can’t think of anything else to do. Approximate total cost Free.
3. Dance. A night of dancing at a club or bar can be quite expensive, those drinks add up. So, go out to a dance class, its hours of instruction and fun. Touching and smiling, and all that eye contact is sexy and good for you.
It’s not a good first date, but after you’ve been dating someone for a while, you can suggest a night out at a club, just skip the drinks. Enjoy dressing up, music, people watching and moving your body on the dance floor. If you find a club with no cover charge, it’s a pretty cheap night out if you skip the alcohol. 4.Theater. Broadway can be very expensive, but a good college production can cost as little as $5.00-$20.00. You can get a student discount if you are in school or bribe a student to buy tickets for you. College or high school productions can be great and you’ll be supporting local arts and the school. You can prepare dinner ahead of time to save costs. Slip your hand into your dates and enjoy the night. Go for a walk afterwards.
