Porsche Make a 7-Seater SUV
Porsche is well known for its sports cars that combine luxury, performance, and handling. However, the brand also makes some family vehicles as well. These include the Macan and Cayenne SUVs, which are some of the best-selling models from the company. These two SUVs are only available in a two-row configuration. While many Porsche fans may want a three-row SUV, the brand doesn’t currently offer one. However, a new model is in the works.
According to British publication Autocar, Porsche is working on a flagship SUV with Buy Porsche car seats for seven passengers. The vehicle is being developed under the codename K1 and is set to debut in 2027. The automaker plans to use this vehicle as a way to enter the large all-electric SUV market and take on such rivals as the Mercedes-Benz EQS, BMW iX, and Rivian R1S. The new Porsche EV will reportedly feature a 920-volt electric system that can achieve 435 miles of range on the WLTP cycle. The SUV will also have a rugged off-road design that makes it more capable than the Cayenne.
Considering that the Porsche Cayenne and Macan are already popular SUVs, it makes sense for the brand to expand its lineup with a third-row offering. However, unlike the Cayenne and Macan, this upcoming SUV will be all-electric. It will likely be based on the Porsche Taycan platform, which will allow for quicker charging and better battery degradation over time. It’s not clear if the SUV will be offered in a hybrid variant.

In addition to the SUV’s EV powertrain, it will supposedly have all-wheel drive and a high-tech suspension system that will help it tackle off-road conditions. Autocar says the K1 will be able to drive up to 62 mph in just 2.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 155 mph. This should make it one of the fastest SUVs on the market.
It isn’t clear if the Porsche K1 will be offered with child seats or boosters, but the company does have an ISOFIX-compatible car seat for kids called the Junior Plus Seat that can be used in all of its vehicles. This car seat features a height-adjustable headrest, a wide seat surface, and extra-high side bolsters to provide the best protection in a side impact collision. It is designed for children ages three to 12 and weighs 33 lbs or less.
The rumors of the new Porsche seven-seater SUV are exciting, but it’s important to remember that it is still only speculation at this point. The automaker hasn’t confirmed the news, and a get-together like this dealers’ meeting is often a time for throwing ideas on a wall to see what sticks.
