For those of you who have been following my last few articles, you will realize that this is a lot of network marketing programs, but this is one that may come as a surprise. So far, our journey has taken us through binary programs, unilevel programs, and breakaway programs. We will now continue our long journey and enter the realm of 1UP/2UP programs. I bet you’ve never heard of such a plan, have you? Well that is why I am writing these articles for you as I choose to help and educate those who have a desire to learn. Now to continue our long journey into the unknown!

1UP/2UP programs are generally the programs used when there is an infrequent purchase, usually a one-time purchase of a high-value item.

Therefore, with your 1UP/2UP program, you generally want to focus as much time as possible on maximizing your personal income. Why do you ask? Well, you get big commission checks on your personal sales and that’s how you manage to make a good income with this plan. Now I know many of you think that the road to riches is to make your enrollees generate 1UPs; however, it takes time for them to develop that skill set so you can do a lot more for yourself while you’re still helping your registrants. I recommend that you dedicate eighty percent of your time to personal production and twenty percent to training your team. That way, you can take that big income check and use it to reinvest in your other income-producing assets.

Let me try to explain in more detail how this all plays out. And I know from the start that this is hard to explain in such a short format. I’ll try it though: let’s call your first sale (or first two sales) a 2UP and they’ll be sent to your upline. Now the person you sponsor and commissions and future 1UP/2UPs also go to your upline. (I would say not so good) But now you build your own lanes and your first sell (or first two with a 2UP) goes to you and so on…

Guys, the commissions paid by these programs are very important; they can actually be fifty to seventy percent of a great price sale, which can be amazing! But keep in mind that selling a high priced ticket will require you to have a more significant skill set.

There’s a lot of bad press regarding your 1UP/2UP programs because many of you don’t make money in this setup. In this program, the average network marketer will only sign up two people to their business, so in this program you may never get the head.

I think I have defined the 1UP/2UP programs for you. I think after reading this article you are in a position to understand how it works and how it pays. As always, I’ve given you what I call the good, the bad, and the ugly of these shows. It’s your choice – move wisely and with purpose, good luck! And as always you have to live well to be well.
