According to Wikipedia, Business Communication is the communication used to promote a product, service or organization; transmit information within the business; or deal with legal and similar matters.

For me, as an image consultant, Business Communication is about the following modules:

body language

Body language is the non-verbal communication that your body sends to the people around you. Unless you sit behind a desk all day and have absolutely no contact with any other human being, you should seriously consider understanding how your body language is affecting your communication skills.

Study your body language with an image consultant and discover new ways to feel more confident, downplay the negative aspects of your body language, etc., with simple and minor changes in your body postures.

personal impact

Your Personal Image is the key to how others relate to you. To be successful, you need a successful personal image.

Study your personal image – your personality, physical appearance and behavior – with an image consultant to build or repair your personal image.

When you have an attractive image, people are more drawn to working with you, or at least listening to what you have to say.

business networking skills

Business networking does not necessarily mean that you are tired of your current job and are looking to land a new job by networking with rival companies and clients in your workplace. It’s much more than that!

Networking is obviously very useful for keeping track of your competition. It is also very helpful in understanding changing trends in your line of work. And of course, you can always get a more exciting job, if that opportunity presents itself.

Understand the different ways of business networking (online and offline tools) and how you can use these tools to your advantage.

Soft skills

I will not go into the different aspects of interpersonal skills training. All I can say is that soft skills teach you to communicate effectively. With such training, you can get your message across to the other person(s) clearly, without creating misunderstandings or confusion.

The aforementioned aspects are essential to succeed as a professional and/or as an organization. And an image consultant makes sure you (and your employees) are trained to your full potential for greater degrees of success.
