Winners and losers: they are like chalk and cheese.

Winners make things happen. Losers let things happen. A winner is proactive while a loser is reactive or not active at all, usually the latter. When winners create something, the classic loser mentality is to criticize, ridicule, abuse, and do whatever else is necessary to justify their own lack of achievement and laziness.

Now, I’m not saying that criticism is sometimes unjustified. Sometimes it is, especially when one’s action disrupts, hinders, or adversely affects the rights, feelings, and freedom of others. For example, you would hardly want to ignore or praise the actions of a highly successful bank robber or bash artist, would you? But I’m not talking about people who make things happen by hurting others. I’m talking about people who create and invent things that are for the betterment of others.

The winners move on. They keep going even when the road is all uphill. Losers, if they have a start, quit at the first sign of difficulty or the first barrier they encounter. Winners know that those barriers only exist to make them try even harder. They become even busier and more determined. Nothing stops a winner. Winners move on against insurmountable odds. Winners are always up for a challenge. Losers give up at the thought of a challenge.

If you tell a winner they can never get anything done, it’s like pouring gasoline on a flame. He turns them on to prove you wrong. If you tell a loser that he can’t do something, he’ll agree with you.

Winners force problems. They make things happen. Losers give up. They let things happen.

Are you a winner or a loser? So do you think you are a winner? Test it. Shoot that target. Don’t let anything or anyone get in your way. Make it happen.
